How to license a dog

In the State of New Hampshire all dogs are required to be licensed within 30 days after the age of 4 months.  The dog must have received a rabies vaccination.

New residents are required to license their dog(s) within 30 days after moving to town.

All dog licenses are renewed each year by the 30th of April, and must be current with their rabies vaccination.

Any owner or keeper of a dog who fails to license the dog pursuant shall forfeit $25.00 (civil forfeiture) to the town clerk of the municipality in which the dog is kept.
